People like their comfort zone; it’s safe there, but that’s not where exceptional work is done.

Great things happen when you coax your people out of their comfort zone and into new territory. But that’s not an easy thing to do.

Try this and see what happens. Look somebody in the eye and say: –

  • “Honestly, how hard can it be?”
  • “What’s the worst that can happen?”
  • “There’s nothing you can break that I can’t fix”

Before they’ll take that leap they need to understand it’s not has hard as they think. That failure won’t be punished or stigmatised and that you’re there for them if things don’t work out.

Make people believe that and everything changes.
