Video is here to stay.  Many people know video is a powerful and versatile tool but aren’t sure where to start.  This is where Flair Video Blitz training comes in.  It consists of two half-day training sessions conducted at your premises and is designed for companies who are ready to take their communications to the next level.

What Will We Cover?

The course is split into 2 half days with an optional 3rd.  Naturally we’ll teach you about lighting and positioning, how to use the equipment and even give you some useful tips on editing but that’s not the real value of this course. As an SME you’ll need 4 foundation videos: –

• Testimonials
• Interviews
• Video blogs (Vlog)
• Promotional videos.

Whilst the quality of the sound and lighting are important the ability to produce these foundation videos for your business is the biggest win.  We’ll explain what these are and show you how to produce them.

Foundation – Half Day

Using our own equipment the trainer will demonstrate the 5 steps of producing powerful digital video content for business use.  First we go over all the equipment and how it works before taking you through the production process involved in creating a video.

1. Discovery – What is the brief for the video, who are you aiming it at and what do you want to achieve.
2. Content – We go over the script, interview questions, the composition, location, positioning, lighting etc.
3. Rehearsal – Probably the most important factor in producing great video content is the rehearsal time you put into it.
4. Filming – Making sure the sound, lighting, composition are all working and how to make the subject relaxed and say what you want them to say.
5. Editing – An introduction to post production editing through to final editing.

We schedule in the second practical session around 2 – 3 weeks after the foundation. In between the first session and the second you will be expected to put theory into practice and film your own activities and events in order to improve the content you produce, using your smartphone would be sufficient, but you should practice as many of the 5 key steps as possible.

Practical – Half Day

This follows a similar format to the foundation session, the main difference is that you jump into the driving seat.  On this day you would put all your prior knowledge into action.

Your trainer will be there to guide you through the 5 steps as you create a new video from scratch. We’ll also reinforce the key points and develop your knowledge from the previous session.

Live Video Production – Full Day (Optional)

The initial training sessions provide a solid foundation to build on, equipping you with hands on practical experience with the equipment and covering post production editing skills.

This full day session will focus on producing a more substantial video for your business and is offered as an option should you want us to be available to give you advice when you need it on the day.

Support after the course

We provide you with a full set of notes but we also offer telephone and email support for a full 4 weeks after the course has ended. If you run into a problem just drop us an email or pick up the phone.
